This development comes only a little after reports emerged stating that Los Blancos had begun work on extending the Turkish international’s contract . Six-year extension for Guler As per the update from Romano, Guler and Real Madrid have agreed on terms over a new six-year contract which will see the 21-year-old starlet commit to the club until the summer of 2032. The former Fenerbahce had no hesitation in saying yes, having steadily grown into an important player at the Santiago Bernabeu. Real Madrid signed Guler from Fenebahce back in the summer of 2023, beating arch-rivals FC Barcelona to his signing. Having arrived as a teenager, the Turkish starlet had to bide his time to gain prominence in the team despite showing his immense potential and quality regularly. Now, Guler is seen as one of Real Madrid’s most important cogs under Jose Mourinho, cementing his place in the team on the right flank, even ahead of the club’s €140 million summer signing Yan Diomande. So far this term, Guler has played four matches in all competitions, scoring and assisting one goal apiece for the Merengues . Following the renewal of Vinicius Jr. during the summer, Real Madrid continue to consolidate their squad, with Guler’s extension now all but completed. Thibaut Courtois is also in line for a new deal, with a meeting set for the coming weeks, while the Merengues are also expected to begin talks over an extension for key midfielder Jude Bellingham.
