The 22-year-old has played for Brighton over the last couple of years and has managed to get plenty of Premier League experience under his belt. However, thanks to his recent injury which is set to keep him out of action for the next few months, a deal between Liverpool and Brighton couldn't be agreed. Indeed, the Seagulls were demanding an extortionate fee for the Gambian but, due to how desperately the Reds needed a right-winger, you can see why Fabian Hurzeler was standing his ground. And, even though the deal never came to fruition this summer, that doesn't mean that a January move can't take place. That is, especially if a report from Football Insider is to be believed. Because, if the Reds end up paying that much, they need to make sure that the Gambian is worth every penny.
