Manchester City forward Fujino signs new long-term deal Manchester City forward Aoba Fujino has signed a new long-term contract with the club until summer 2030. WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Cityzens this morning. The 22-year-old Japanese international joined Manchester City from SOMPO WE League club Tokyo Verdy Beleza in summer 2024. Fujino was a Barclays Women’s Super League and Adobe Women’s FA Cup double-winner with The Cityzens last season. The player has made 52 appearances for Manchester City in all competitions, scoring 11 goals. Fujino is an important player for the future at Manchester City and the club have moved to extend her deal for the long-term. After signing on again with The Cityzens, Fujino said “I feel like there’s still so much I can develop here at this club, and that’s a big part of it [why I’ve extended]. “Two years in, I know I’m capable of more than I’ve shown. I’ve always felt so supported. Right from the start, when I first arrived at City, everyone welcomed me so warmly, the fans cheered me on, all of that just made City and Manchester, feel like home.” Manchester City are next in action when they travel to Villa Park to face Aston Villa on Sunday.
