Leicester City midfielder Pelgander signs new deal Leicester City midfielder Emilia Pelgander has signed a new contract with the club. WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Foxes this morning. The 22-year-old Swedish youth international has agreed to extend her contract at The King Power Stadium until summer 2028. Pelgander joined Leicester City from Swedish Elitettan club KIF Örebro DFF in early 2024. She has made 18 appearances for the East Midlands club in all competitions to date. Pelgander has also enjoyed loans with FC Rosengård and HB Køge in recent seasons to further her development. The youngster is a real prospect for the future and she will now hope to shine for Leicester City in Barclays WSL2 this season. After signing on again with The Foxes, Pelgander said “I’m very happy to have extended my time with the Club. I have enjoyed being back here with the team at Belvoir Drive. My loan spells have been positive, and I feel ready to give this team my best. I want to get better and keep improving for the team.” Pelgander started for Leicester City at Sheffield United on the opening day of the Barclays WSL2 season. The Foxes went on to win 1-0 at Bramall Lane.
