Confirmed: Barcelona renew teenage striker’s contract until 2030 FC Barcelona have announced that teenage strike Hamza Abdelkarim will sign a new contract with the club until the summer of 2030. The 18-year-old starlet will formally sign the new agreement on Tuesday, 15 September, before addressing the media at the club offices. “Agreement reached between FC Barcelona and the player Hamza Abdelkarim for a contract through to 30 June 2030,” the club statement read. A rapid rise Hamza signed for Barcelona in February 2026, arriving on loan from Al Ahly in Egypt. The teenager impressed heavily with the club’s Juvenil A outfit in the second half of the 2025/26 season, prompting the Blaugrana to activate the permanent purchase clause worth €1.5 million plus add-ons this summer. At the time, he had signed a three-year contract running until the summer of 2029. Since then, Hamza has been in and around the first-team dynamics, impressing heavily in pre-season where he finished as the top-scorer with four goals. New contract for Hamza. Given his rapid ascent within the club, Barça had been working to renew his contract immediately, with the main objective being to improve his release clause which stood at only €15 million, while also handing him a better salary. Now, the agreement has been secured between both parties and Hamza’s new contract is official, with the formal signing and presentation set to take place next week. As part of the new deal, Hamza’s release clause is expected to be priced at €150 million .
