An 'upset' Christian Pulisic to make season debut Saturday, says AC Milan manager
Christian Pulisic is part of Rubin Amorim's plans for Saturday's match against Lazio , the AC Milan manager said. "I think you guys are going to see Pulisic," Amorim told reporters on Friday . "I don't know if he's going to start, if he's going to get on the pitch. I think he's going to play at least some minutes now." Pulisic suffered a bone bruise and microfracture in his right leg during the United States' Round of 16 defeat to Belgium during the 2026 World Cup . Upon his return to training with AC Milan, he picked up a knock, according to Amorim. Now healthy, the 27-year-old has been an unused substitute in the Serie A side's opening three games of the season. "He's upset, in the moment, because he has zero minutes and I love that," Amorim said. "I love that in my players, but he's ready to play." Amorim talked about squad rotation and how everyone will need to be ready. AC Milan has three matches in an eight-day span, including a midweek UEFA Europa League fixture against Benfica on Wednesday, before the upcoming international break. Pulisic is entering his fourth season in Italy and is coming off a campaign that saw him score 10 goals and record 14 goal contributions in 34 matches in all competitions.
