Inter keen on Carlos Augusto’s renewal, initial contact made Serie A side witnessed some uncertainty around the situation of Carlos Augusto in the summer but are working to make sure stays long-term. The defender has already had a part to play this season, doing quite well in the dramatic 3-2 win over Napoli after he came off in the second half. He has also filled in at centre-back in the recent past, also slotting in at right wing back at times. This seems to have impacted Inter’s thought process, who are actively trying to extend his deal.  La Gazzetta dello Sport report that a meeting between Inter and Augusto’s entourage is upcoming, with both parties having the desire to extend the deal beyond the current expiry of 2028. Juventus and two Spanish clubs had stepped forward for his signature in the summer. But the player expressed his desire to stay at Inter and this has proved to be key in the club’s stance too.
