Swansea climbed back to second in the table – behind leaders West Ham on goal difference – thanks to Saturday's 3-1 victory over struggling Burnley. Adam Idah, Moussa Yeo and Zan Vipotnik all found the target as the Swans produced the ideal response following their first league defeat at Southampton in midweek. After beating Burnley, Matos claimed that he did not know where Swansea are in the league table – but reckons his new-look squad have shown they can cut it in the second tier. "I think we have a team who can compete against every team in the league," the Swansea head coach said. "That's what we want. When we can compete against everyone, we know that on that day, at that particular time, we can have a proper performance and beat any opponent. "If that happens all the time, we don't know, but we will work our socks off for that."
