Serie A | Atalanta 1-2 Cagliari: Dea surprised by impressive Sardinians Cagliari continued their remarkable start to the season with a prestigious 2-1 victory away to Atalanta, with Paul Mendy and Daniel Maldini scoring the first Serie A penalty of 2026/27. These teams went into the season with very different expectations , but were both on six points after three rounds. La Dea scraped wins over Sassuolo and Bologna, only to fumble a 1-0 lead in stoppage-time defeat to Roma .
