Monaco’s Anis Soubeir to undergo three weeks’ rehab following ankle injury
Monaco’s Anis Soubeir to undergo three weeks’ rehab following ankle injury AS Monaco midfielder Anis Soubeir (19) is expected to be sidelined for around three weeks following an injury sustained in a challenge with Ismaël Doukouré (26) during the match against RC Strasbourg-Alsace, according to reports in L’Équipe . After picking up the injury and being replaced by Matthis Abline (23) in the 22nd minute of Saturday’s clash against the Alsatian side – which ended in a 1-1 draw – the left-footed player has been diagnosed with a classic sprain of the right ankle and will not return to action before the end of the international break. A product of the FC Metz academy, Soubeir joined Monaco’s Under-21s a year ago, before making a permanent move to the first team this summer. Having come off the bench in the first five matches played by the Asémistes since the start of the season, the Moroccan Under-20 international made his first start yesterday at the Stade de la Meinau.
