Bogle red card 'really disappointing' - Askey

Omar Bogle was sent off deep in stoppage time for violent conduct [Shutterstock] Truro City manager John Askey was disappointed with new signing Omar Bogle's red card and branded it indefensible. The experienced striker, 33, was set off in stoppage time during the 1-1 draw with Walton and Hersham after kicking out at Kleyton Junior. The forward, who has played more than 300 Football League games for the likes of Wigan Athletic, Crewe Alexandra, Charlton Athletic, Cardiff City and Newport County, was making just his fourth appearance for his new club after joining last month. The Tinners equalised seconds after Bogle's dismissal in a game described by Askey as his side's worst of the season so far. "You can't defend that. It shouldn't happen," Askey said of Bogle's red card to BBC Radio Cornwall. "We understand that people get frustrated and when somebody's grabbing hold of you the only way to respond to things like that is by keep playing, get hold of the ball, put ball in the back of the net. "You can't retaliate, so really disappointing and obviously we'll have to deal with that."
