In fact, Real Madrid are expected to spend big on a new midfielder next summer. The club believe they have not been able to replace Toni Kroos or Luka Modric, and are, therefore, eyeing a similar brand of player. Real Madrid consider midfield to be a key weak spot and will be ready to do everything they can in order to find an ideal solution in the market – someone who can instantly become a starter in the team. Options are few However, the options in the market remain limited for Real Madrid. Rodri would have been the ideal option for Real Madrid. Enzo Fernandez was branded as another target, but the Argentine international ended up joining Manchester City instead. Neither of them will be joining Real Madrid anytime soon. That leaves the club with the monumental task of finding someone who can fit the bill and worth the €120 outlay next summer. The likes of Joshua Kimmich, Felix Nmecha, Vitinha or even Joao Neves look like potential options, but it remains to be seen whether or not the club will make a move for any of them next summer. But for now, Real Madrid are clearly not satisfied with their current midfield options and it won’t be surprising to see someone like Eduardo Camavinga leaving the club next summer, though they did turn down an offer from Turkey.
