Liverpool’s Jeremy Jacquet and Brighton’s Olivier Boscagli feature in Zinédine Zidane’s provisional France squad There could be a few debutants included in the France squad as the arrival of Zinédine Zidane marks the start of a new era for Les Bleus. Liverpool defender Jérémy Jacquet is the latest player to be revealed to have a place in Zidane’s provisional squad, as per a report from L’Équipe . The final squad will be named on 18th September. As previously reported, the likes of Esteban Lepaul, Lucas Da Cunha, Andy Diouf, Pablo Pagis, and Ismaelo Ganiou all feature on Zidane’s expanded squad list, which must be whittled down later this week. However, L’Équipe now report that there are other uncapped players included in this list, including Jacquet, who has enjoyed a strong start to life at Liverpool following his summer move from Stade Rennais. There is also a place for Brighton and Hove Albion defender Olivier Boscagli and Sunderland midfielder Enzo Le Fée. There was talk of Matthieu Udol working his way into France’s squad for the FIFA World Cup, but whilst he ultimately missed out, the RC Lens defender could be handed a debut by Zidane. He is also one of those in this expanded list and is hoping to make the cut. GFFN | Luke Entwistle
