Karim Adeyemi’s scoring explosion could be big news for Barcelona this season Barcelona’s extraordinary start under Hansi Flick has produced an unexpected goalscoring hero. Raphinha and Lamine Yamal remain the headline acts, but Karim Adeyemi has become one of the most dangerous players in the attack.  The German has scored three times already, contributing to an attacking surge that has seen Barça find the net 26 times . Four players account for 22 of those goals: Raphinha with eight, Yamal with seven, Fermin Lopez with four and Adeyemi with three.  Across their opening matches, Barcelona are averaging a remarkable 4.3 goals per game. Adeyemi, though, has taken the biggest leap. The German scored in both of his starts, against Elche and Feyenoord, before finding the net again at Levante.  That third goal was particularly memorable, with Adeyemi cutting through the opposition in a move likened to Lionel Messi’s style. Furthermore, hs finishing variety has been just as striking. A left-footer who is comfortable scoring with his right, Adeyemi has shown he can strike from distance or simply use his blistering pace to run beyond defenders. From one goal every four games to one every 68 minutes Before arriving at Barcelona, the German had averaged approximately one goal every four matches during his career. At Barça , he is currently scoring once every 68 minutes. That figure becomes even more impressive because it does not include penalties, nor does it fully reflect the chances created for him against Athletic Club, when Yamal supplied two assists that left Adeyemi with simple finishes from inside the six-yard box. Lastly, there is also an argument that his numbers could be even more eye-catching. Had Unai Simon not produced a series of outstanding saves, Adeyemi would arguably be challenging for the Pichichi award already, putting him alongside Anthony Gordon.
