'Brilliant' Trafford 'makes Leeds stronger'

On the latest episode of BBC Radio 5 Live's Monday Night Club, former Premier League goalkeeper Shay Given was in full praise of Leeds United summer signing James Trafford. He says that the 23-year-old would still be good enough to be Manchester City's first-choice goalkeeper if Gianluigi Donnarumma wasn't around, adding: "I know it was a big fee for a goalkeeper, but it is money well spent. "He definitely makes them stronger at the back. He is calm, good with the ball at his feet and, at 23, it is all ahead of him. "It shows his character when he moved away from City. He didn't accept being on the bench. He wants to challenge Jordan Pickford for England's number one jersey and play regular football. "He has proved already to Leeds fans that they have got a top goalkeeper on their hands." Listen to the full episode of Monday Night Club on BBC Sounds [BBC]
