This is obviously a massive issue as it's meant that Florian Wirtz has had to cover the most ground due to the gaps being left behind him. A new midfielder has been one of the main things that fans have wanted at Anfield over the last few years and, with all this money being spent on other areas of the pitch, it now feels like it's time for Liverpool's midfield to get a bit of a boost. Obviously, there's no knowing exactly what plans Liverpool have but, for now, it feels like a new midfielder should be their priority which is why signing Kone makes a lot of sense.
