Charlton Athletic midfielder Hutton signs new deal Charlton Athletic midfielder Jodie Hutton has signed a new contract with the club. WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Addicks this afternoon. The 25-year-old has agreed a one-year extension at The Valley with the option of a further 12 months. Hutton joined Charlton Athletic in summer 2024 after leaving former club Sheffield United and she has cemented her place in the side. The player helped The Addicks win a long-awaited promotion to the Barclays Women’s Super League last season via the play-off. Hutton featured in every league fixture for Charlton Athletic, contributing five goals. The midfielder is an important player for the South East Londoners and the club have therefore moved to retain her services for an extended period. After signing on again with Charlton Athletic, Hutton said “I’m over the moon to extend my contract. I’ve really enjoyed the two seasons I’ve already had here, and I’ve developed as a player, and also as a person. “We achieved our goal last season, and I’m buzzing to be a part of this club in the WSL. Here’s to making more special memories.” Charlton Athletic are next in Barclays Women’s Super League action on Saturday when they play host to London City Lionesses.
