Winless ADO Den Haag bring in former Sevilla winger in bid to turn season around
Winless ADO Den Haag bring in former Sevilla winger in bid to turn season around ADO Den Haag have announced the signing of Spanish winger Alex Pozo. The 27-year-old has signed a deal with the Eredivisie side until 2028, with an option to increase this by a season. ADO Den Haag have yet to win on their return to the Eredivisie so it is not surprising that they have still been looking at potential free agents to strengthen the squad. Pozo began his career in Sevilla, coming through the sides academy. After a loan spell with Granada during the 2018/2019 season, Pozo played 10 games for Sevilla before joining Mallorca on loan. After more loan spells with Eibar and Almeria, Pozo joined the latter permanently in 2022. He went on to play 90 games for the side, scoring twice. Last season Pozo spent time on loan in Poland with Jagiellonia Białystok, playing 49 games with two goals and six assists. Pozo brings some European experience with him, having played 14 games for Jagiellonia Białystok in the Conference League last season. At the end of the season, Pozo returned to Almeria where his contract expired. ADO Den Haag sit bottom of the Eredivisie after six games. They have picked up one point, which came against Feyenoord. This weekend they face fellow promoted side Cambuur, who themselves got a first win last weekend against NEC Nijmegen. GBeNeFN | Ben Jackson
