Clark calls for more discipline from Hartlepool

Pools have now lost five of their past six league games and sit 16th but they have had players sent off in three of those defeats, the latest of which was a red card for captain Jack Hunter at Altrincham . The game was finely balanced at 1-1 when Hunter picked up a second yellow card, before Alty capitalised with a man extra to win 2-1. "Of course it's becoming an issue because it's nearly 50% of the games," Clark told BBC Radio Tees. "It cannot be accepted." Hartlepool welcome Worthing on Saturday and Clark wants his players to understand how important it is to keep things 11 against 11 "I've spoken to the squad all season about not giving away cheap fouls," he said. "We want to be an aggressive team in terms of our pressing, but we can't give silly fouls away and have me and the staff on tenterhooks and having to make substitutions because people are on yellow cards."
