Arthur Romano has won seven caps for France [swpix.com] Hull FC have signed Goole Vikings outside back Connor Barley on a one-year deal. Barley, 22, started his career with cross-city rivals Hull KR and scored 20 tries in 23 appearances for the Championship side in 2026. The move to Hull FC will reunite him with Scott Taylor who is joining the club's coaching staff having been head coach at Goole. Meanwhile, centre Arthur Romano has re-signed for Catalans Dragons after the Black and Whites released him on compassionate grounds to allow him to return to France. The 29-year-old joined from les Dracs on a two-year deal last September and scored two tries in 15 appearances. Hull FC said earlier on Thursday Romano would "take up an opportunity with another Super League club in 2027" and they would receive compensation from his new team. "Romano has been released from the remainder of his contract on compassionate grounds, allowing him to return to France to be closer to home and to his young family," they said in a statement.
