‘It’s only two games’ – Crystal Palace must keep working hard after positive start says Potter Crystal Palace head coach Jo Potter says that she is pleased with her side’s start to the season, although there is a lot of hard work ahead. The Eagles have taken four points from their first two Barclays Women’s Super League fixtures and are yet to concede a goal. Speaking to the media ahead of this weekend’s fixture against Tottenham Hotspur, Crystal Palace boss Potter admitted that she is pleased to have early points on the board, but there’s a long way to go. “It’s definitely how we would want it, but on the flip side, things can change very quickly,” Potter said. “A couple of bad results can give a very different feel to it. “We are happy with the start that we’ve had, but we know that’s it. It’s only two games and it’s a long old season. There are more games than ever and we’ve got to keep working hard and continue doing what we’ve done to get those results.” Goalkeeper Pauline Peyraud-Magnin starred for the South Londoners in last weekend’s impressive goalless draw at Arsenal and Potter was pleased to see the player put in a top performance. She said “We said that we wanted to bring experience into this squad for this league and she definitely has that. She showed up on Sunday and showed exactly what she was about.   “When you have a keeper who is making save after save when called upon and putting in a performance like that, it’s exactly why you bring them in. “I was delighted for Pauline on Sunday that she could bring up that performance when she was needed.” Going on to discuss latest opponents Spurs, Potter said that she is expecting a tough game against a very strong side. She said “Tottenham are a strong outfit, they keep getting stronger and stronger. With each transfer window, you can see the quality and efficiency of the players that they bring in. “They’ve got a style and a way of playing that’s difficult to go against for the majority of the game with how intense they play. “There are always elements that you can work on and try and break down, give players ideas where we can hurt them in certain moments. “It’s going to be a tough game. They’re an efficient team that do things a certain way and are very good at it.” Crystal Palace’s Barclays Women’s Super League fixture against Tottenham Hotspur takes place at Selhurst Park at 2pm on Sunday afternoon.
