Kylian Mbappe responds to Lamine Yamal’s huge Ballon d’Or claim
Kylian Mbappe responds to Lamine Yamal’s huge Ballon d’Or claim Kylian Mbappe is one of the leading candidates to win the 2026 Ballon d’Or, which will be awarded by France Football during next month’s ceremony. The Real Madrid man fancies his chances of taking the honour, although he faces stiff competition from the likes of Harry Kane and Lamine Yamal. Recently, the latter made it clear that he sees the Ballon d’Or race as a straight battle between himself and Mbappe, believing they are the best players in the world . Mbappe has now acknowledged the remarks made by the Barcelona player during his interview with Diario AS . “He is a very talented player, and I have the feeling that he is going to have a great career. I wish him the best for himself, for his family and his people.” Mbappe: Ballon d’Or must return to the Bernabeu Mbappe is determined to win the Ballon d’Or, but not only for himself. He has made it clear that it’s equally important for the award to return to the Bernabeu, with it having been four years since his French compatriot Karim Benzema won the award on the back of his stellar 2021-22 campaign. “That’s not my problem because I don’t think about what I can do to win it. The most important thing for me is that the Ballon d’Or returns to Real Madrid, they are the best team in the world. It must return to the Bernabeu, to the Madridistas, to return for all these people, to give them hope. Those people deserve it more than everyone else. Being a Real Madrid player is fighting for all the awards, the Ballon d’Or is a prize and I’m going to fight to try to bring him back to Real Madrid. There are many players who have managed to bring him here and I want to be one of them.”
