Also, Samba’s positioning was excellent to be in the right position if an opportunity arrived from Allan’s cross. Considering that Samba isn’t a striker by trade that was fantastic to see. Ait-Nouri teed up Samba who beat Daniel Grimshaw with a composed side-footed finish. Samba’s second goal came from a finish that any striker would have been proud of. In terms of his overall display, Floyd Samba linked up Manchester City’s attacking play superbly well. His neat touches and clever passes helped City break down Norwich City throughout the match. There was a quiet arrogance to Samba’s play which was great to see. The biggest compliment you can give Floyd Samba outside of the obvious is that he looked right at home in the Manchester City first-team. If circumstances did offer Samba an opportunity to play a bigger role for City this season, he does look ready to make that step. After fulfilling a dream, Floyd Samba was thrilled with how he handled the role that Enzo Maresca gave him. Floyd Samba deserves all the plaudits he has received for his outstanding display against Norwich City. The youngster was superb playing in an unfamiliar role and he received the rewards that his performance richly deserved. Speaking after the match , Floyd Samba said it was a dream come true to make his Manchester City debut. Also, Samba said he felt at home playing in an unfamiliar role. Samba explained: “ I wish I could [put it into words]. Amazing game. This is what I dreamed for and to make it reality, is just the best thing in the world right now. ” “ Enzo [Maresca] spoke to me on Tuesday to put me as number nine as an idea. And then as it got closer I knew I would start. I just had to prepare mentally for the game.
