Samuel leaves Spartans after investigation
[SNS] Head coach Douglas Samuel has left Spartans "following an independent investigation into allegations of misconduct", the Scottish League 2 club have announced. Samuel went on extended leave on 6 September. Spartans said they would not be making any further comment and confirmed Paul Thomson will continue as interim head coach. The Ainslie Park club lost 3-0 at Dumbarton on Saturday and are third in League 2. Spartans next play Gala in Tuesday's Challenge Cup match.
