Cliftonville win Women's Premiership title as Glens falter
Cliftonville Ladies have claimed a third Women's Premiership title after Glentoran fell to a 3-2 defeat against Linfield on Sunday. The loss at the Blanchflower Stadium left the Glens unable to catch the Reds, who sit eight points ahead with just two games left to play. The Reds have been imperious in the league, winning 14 of their 15 games, with their sole defeat coming against Lisburn Rangers in July. They have scored 68 goals and conceded just 11 to reclaim the league title they won in 2022 and 2024. Cliftonville have already lifted the League Cup after victory against Kim Turner's side in the final and the top two will face off again in the Irish Cup final on 24 October. Before that, the Reds will close the campaign with a trip to Linfield and a home game against the Glens at Solitude.
