Aldershot winger Tuma called-up by Malta

Basil Tuma has won eight caps for Malta [Getty Images] Aldershot Town winger Basil Tuma has been named in Malta's provisional 29-man squad for their upcoming international matches. The 21-year-old joined the Shots this summer from Reading and has made eight appearances to help put them eighth in the table with 15 points. Born in Uganda, Tuma represented his home country at the 2020 CECAFA Under-17 Championship before being called up for the Malta Under-19s in September 2022. He made his senior Malta debut in October 2024, coming on as a half-time substitute to win a penalty and has won seven further caps. Malta will play three UEFA Nations League fixtures over the next two weeks, beginning with a trip to Andorra on 24 September. They host Liechtenstein in a friendly on 27 September, followed by two more Nations League matches. Gibraltar visit on 1 October before the return home match with Andorra on 4 October.
