Forest Green recall Marquez from Worthing loan
Jose Marquez has scored three goals while on loan at Worthing [Shutterstock] Forest Green Rovers have recalled striker Jose Marquez from his season-long loan at National League rivals Worthing. The 20-year-old has impressed with three goals and an assist in nine appearances in all competitions for the Sussex-based side. All three of his goals have come in Worthing's last five league matches - he scored his final goal late on in the 3-1 win at Hartlepool on Saturday. Marquez will bolster the Forest Green squad with Ricardo Rees ruled out with a long-term injury , while D'Mani Mellor and Kairo Mitchell are also unavailable due in international call-ups. It is the second successful loan spell for Marquez - he scored three goals in four games while at National League South side Dorking Wanderers in November last year.
