Fenerbahçe had faced the stronger schedule, including victories over ABB FOMGET and Amed Sportif, but Beşiktaş had done everything required of them. The first head-to-head comparison has now separated them. Fenerbahçe are three points clear after four rounds and remain the Süper Lig’s only perfect side. The chase stays crowded Amed Sportif moved into second on nine points after beating Bakırköy 3-0, ahead of Beşiktaş on goal difference. Galatasaray and Hakkarigücü sit a point further back on eight points. After three rounds, the main question was how much could be learned from uneven schedules. After four, at least one part of the table is clearer: Fenerbahçe have beaten another unbeaten contender and remain alone at the top. FOMGET’s strange numbers The round’s tightest contest came at the Osmanlı Stadı, where Trabzonspor led inside five minutes through a Donjeta Halilaj penalty and held the advantage almost to the end. The contrast is a useful reminder of what goal difference can and cannot explain. FOMGET have one of the strongest differentials in the division, but only one victory. Their position is therefore much easier to understand through results than through their aggregate scoring numbers. The first head-to-head meeting has supplied the strongest evidence yet. Fenerbahçe are three points clear, have scored twenty goals without reply and have now beaten Beşiktaş as well as two other sides currently sitting in the upper half of the table. Behind them, four teams remain separated by one point. Further down, FOMGET offer the opposite lesson: twenty-four goals and a plus-fifteen goal difference can look impressive, but four points still leave them eleventh.
