ÖFB-Frauen Bundesliga results: St. Pölten score nine, Graz remain top and SCR Altach hammer First Vienna The seventh week of results in the ÖFB-Frauen Bundesliga saw a ten-goal blockbuster unfold at the NV Arena, with Pölten keeping the pressure on SK Sturm Graz at the top of the table. SCR Altach’s Petra Mikulica overtakes Brigitta Pulins as the league’s top goal scorer, and Südburgenland languish at the foot of the table. SKN St. Pölten vs SpG Südburgenland/TSV Hartberg In what can only be described as a comprehensive demolition, SKN St. Pölten scored nine goals at the swept-aside bottom of the table Südburgenland in a 9-1 home victory at the NV Arena. St. Pölten remain second in the table, one point behind Sturm Graz with a game in hand. Laurent Fassotte’s side has been in unreal form, conceding just two goals so far this season and winning every single domestic fixture so far. Pölten captain Jenny Klein got her side off to a positive start, scoring in the fourth minute, converting a penalty with a calm head. From that moment on, the goals didn’t stop arriving for the home side. Amelie Woelki grabbed a hat-trick, getting her first goals of the 2026/27 season. The 24-year-old arrived at Pölten last season from German Bundesliga side Hamburger SV and has established herself as a reliable utility player. Alma Aagaard grabbed another two goals, bringing her season tally now to five, making her the league’s third-highest goal scorer. Sara Makovec also bagged herself a brace of goals, scoring in the 48th and 86th minutes. The Slovenian international also came to Austria in 2025. Experienced forward Fanny Vágó also added to her tally for Pölten, taking her season total to four since re-joining the club. Vágó had previously scored 82 league goals for the club in a stint between 2015 and 2019, making her a club legend. Südburgenland grabbed a goal back through Vanessa Beiglböck in the 11th minute, but it was merely false hope that the side would get anything from the fixture. They sit bottom of the league now, with relegation seeming more and more likely as each match-week passes. SCR Altach vs First Vienna FC 1894 If there is one story to take away from the ÖFB-Frauen Bundesliga season so far, it’s that Petra Mikulica is one of the most talented players in the league. Nayana Ebersold grabbed the fourth and final goal for Altach. Altach now leapfrog First Vienna into fourth place as First Vienna drop into fifth. First Vienna face LASK in the match fixture, a game they will feel confident in finding their form again. Altach will face Südburgenland and are likely to continue their newfound good form. FK Austria Wien vs FC Blau-Weiß Linz Kleinmünchen It was a calm and regimented performance from Austria Wien as they did exactly what was expected of them, winning 2-0. Kosovo international Modesta Uka grabbed a classy goal, turning defenders to create space and slamming the ball beyond Linz keeper Julia Zangerl. Uka once again proved how invaluable she is for the Vienna-based club. Adding a second to the scoreline was captain Carina Wenninger. The Austrian legend latched onto the ball after a shot from Uka was parried away and used her experience to stay calm and tap the ball into the net beyond Zangerl. Austria Wien stay in third place after adding three points to their tally but remain six points behind league leaders Graz. The capital-based side do have a game in hand despite that. Linz lament in ninth place in the table as their season slowly starts to derail. Their fans and players alike will now undoubtedly start looking towards Südburgenland results post-game in the hopes that their relegation rivals don’t pick up any surprise points. LASK vs FC Red Bull Salzburg The two clubs cancelled each other out as the game finished a tense 0-0, the first goalless draw of the season so far. It was a better result for LASK perhaps than Salzburg; the point earned means LASK pull a point away from Linz, their same-city rivals. Dusan Pavlovic’s Salzburg side now sit in sixth place, one point ahead of newly promoted SK Rapid. Siret Räämet , the LASK captain, is in her second season at the Linz-based side and will lead her team to face First Vienna in the next match week, a match that both sides will feel as though they can take points from. SK Sturm Graz vs SK Rapid Graz maintained their top-of-the-table form despite the smaller-than-usual scoreline. The match ended 2-0 to the home side at Messendorf. Laura Krumböck got the game off to a solid start for Graz, bagging a goal in the 15th minute. Julia Keutz nodded on the ball from a corner, and it fell to the capable feet of Krumböck, who tapped it home past Rapid keeper Kayleigh Van Niehoff. Prolific goal scorer Lilla Sipos bagged the last goal of the game. Her third goal of the current season; it’s worth noting that Sipos scored 15 league goals in 22 games last season for Südburgenland. Sturm Graz also have their talisman goal scorer Zala Kustrin returning from injury this season. A further attacking option who scored 16 league goals for Graz in the 2025/26 season to add to the prowess of Pulins and Sipos. It’s looking like the 2026/27 season is a good time to be a Sturm Graz fan. ÖFB-Frauen Bundesliga teams in the UWCL and UWEC Austria Wien will play Chelsea on Wednesday 23rd September in London as their UEFA Women’s Champions League season gets underway. This game can be watched live on Disney+ with an existing subscription plan. SKN St. Pölten will also play on the 23rd as they face Malmö FF in their Europa Cup playoff final qualifying round. SK Sturm Graz will also play in the UWEC final qualifying round against German giants VfL Wolfsburg on the 30th.
