Sevilla took the lead in the 19th minute when Youssouf Fofana headed home, although Raphinha levelled just three minutes later. Lamine had already threatened before that. In the eighth minute, he cut inside and curled a shot towards goal, forcing Odysseas Vlachodimos to tip the ball away before it struck the post. After half-time, his influence grew even further . In the 52nd minute, the teenage winger delivered a cross into the area and Raphinha headed the Catalans into a 2-1 lead. The Blaugrana captain then completed his hat-trick in the 69th minute to seal the 3-1 victory, with Lamine setting him up once again. Three years younger than Vinicius As mentioned earlier, Real Madrid superstar Vinicius held the record for the youngest player to reach 50 assists in La Liga in the past decade. The Brazilian registered his 50th assist for Real Madrid in May 2023, when he was 22 years and 298 days old. Lamine has therefore reached the same milestone three years and 230 days younger than the Real Madrid forward. The achievement further underlines just how quickly the Barcelona youngster has accumulated attacking numbers since breaking into the first team. The Spaniard’s numbers are particularly striking given his age. His 51 assists in 159 appearances work out at roughly one every three matches, highlighting his influence in creating chances and supplying Barcelona’s forwards. That influence was on full display in Seville. While Raphinha took the headlines after scoring three times, Lamine was directly responsible for two of those goals. At 19, he has already passed the 50-assist mark and moved ahead of a record previously held by one of Real Madrid’s established stars.
