Kylian Mbappé set to return to the left wing for France? Kylian Mbappé’s (27) repositioning as a No.9, in the wake of Olivier Giroud’s international retirement, was the source of fierce debate in France. Even going into last summer’s FIFA World Cup, years after making the decision to play the former Paris Saint-Germain and AS Monaco forward centrally, Didier Deschamps was still being forced to justify himself. One of his first decisions, RMC Sport understands, will be to put Mbappé back on the left wing. It is in this position that he initially broke through with Monaco and grew as a player while at PSG. Zidane, the publication adds, has already spoken with his captain to inform him of his desire to reposition him.
