Lamine Yamal sets another Barcelona record after incredible start to 2026/27 season Lamine Yamal has added another milestone to his outstanding start to the 2026/27 season , becoming the most-used player in Barcelona’s squad by minutes after the opening eight matches. While Raphinha’s goalscoring form has understandably attracted plenty of attention during Barça’s perfect start, Yamal has been just as influential.  The 19-year-old has eight goals and six assists across all competitions and is one of only six Barcelona players yet to miss a game this season. More importantly for Hansi Flick, nobody has spent more time on the pitch than his teenage superstar. Yamal has instead taken the top spot, completing six of Barcelona’s eight matches in full: Athletic Club, Rayo Vallecano, Valencia, Feyenoord, Racing Santander and Sevilla. He was taken off in the 65th minute against Elche and in the 66th minute against Levante. Yamal was fourth on 3,702 minutes. His position at the top of the chart this season thus shows both his availability and Flick’s reliance on him.  Alongside Yamal, Raphinha, Dani Olmo, Karim Adeyemi, Pedri and Marc Bernal have appeared in every match, but none has accumulated as many minutes. The numbers also explain why Barcelona have been so reluctant to take Yamal out of the team. His production is already elite, while his physical condition has allowed Flick to keep turning to him.
