His current contract at the Portuguese club will expire in the summer of 2030, which could make it tough for the Mancunian club to land him on the cheap this January or at the end of this season. He can even shoot the ball with power from long range and has the vision to engineer some inviting chances for his teammates to find the back of the net. The Danish sensation is an energetic runner with the ball as well and can chip in by scoring the odd goal from midfield. However, there are some concerns over whether he can adapt to the physical side and high intensity of the Premier League if Man City manage to bring him on board next year. Froholdt would undoubtedly improve the quality of Enzo Maresca’s midfield department in the long run. He has what it takes to serve as a good rotational piece in the Mancunian club’s squad. At 20, the future looks quite promising for Froholdt as long as he continues to improve with each year. He is a star in the making, so Maresca would be wise to step up his efforts to land him in 2027. However, Man City would have to be patient with his development before they can get the best out of him.
