If Ferran was still a part of the team, Barcelona would have been forced to deploy the Spaniard in the number nine position, which in turn, could have taken out a lot of Raphinha’s productivity. It could have also restricted the game-time of the two new signings in Anthony Gordon and Karim Adeyemi, both of who have had a promising start to their Barcelona careers. While Gordon has been showing up with assists every other game, Adeyemi has scored a few incredible goals. Together, Barcelona are looking like the team to beat, despite allowing Ferran to leave the club this past summer.
