The manager has applied the same method as he used while manager of Real Madrid to name them. Zidane confirmed last Friday that Kylian Mbappé would remain the captain of Les Bleus, just as he was at the end of the Didier Deschamps era, following the international retirement of Hugo Lloris. However, he also revealed that there would be four captains, albeit without naming their identities. L’Équipe understands that, as was the case at Real Madrid, the other three captains will be the most experienced players in the squad. The three most-capped players, bar Mbappé, currently in the France squad are Ousmane Dembélé (67 caps), Adrien Rabiot (66 caps) and Jules Koundé (56 caps).
