Rio Ngumoha ready to ‘embrace the chaos’ as he vows to bring ‘fearless’ mindset to England squad

Rio Ngumoha is aiming to spearhead Thomas Tuchel’s ambition to "embrace the chaos" of English football following his inclusion in the latest international setup. The Liverpool winger has been selected in Tuchel’s squad for upcoming Nations League fixtures against Spain, Croatia, and both home and away matches against Czechia. The attacker made his senior international bow at 17 back in June after featuring in England’s pre-World Cup training camp, delivering an impressive performance as a substitute during a victory over New Zealand in Florida. Reflecting on the semi-final defeat to Argentina, Tuchel promised to "compromise in my wish to urge for more control, instead embrace a little bit more chaos". This tactical shift offers a significant opening for the self-described "fearless" player, who turned 18 last month. "He’s really helpful, and I think him picking me shows his belief in me and how exciting and explosive he thinks I am. "All I can do now is just show him again why I should be here for the many more camps and why he thinks I should be a big part of the team and help the team. "I’d say I’m fearless. I like to take on players, whether it’s one-v-ones, sometimes two-v-ones as well. "But also, I want to help the team out with goals and assists because at the end of the day, it’s not just about me and the team. "It’s about winning trophies and winning games. So I like to think I help the team out on and off the ball. "I would definitely like to be a part of the squad. I think I just have to keep doing what I’m doing, whether it’s with the national team or at club level, if I just keep showing who I am and how I play." "I get it from my brother a lot, my big brother. He’s 11 years older than me. "But he just instilled the mentality in my mind, saying, ‘You’ve got to say things out loud to achieve them’. "Really, I think that’s stuck with me forever."
