Barcelona have generally preferred to avoid the January market unless there is an urgent need, and they believe that is particularly true this season. The team have won every match convincingly and have two players available for virtually every position. In fact, Flick recognises that managing the substitutes and players left out of the squad has become a difficult task because of the high level being shown by his players. As such, he does not believe he needs additional reinforcements. Therefore, unless there is a serious injury or a significant departure, Barcelona are not expected to make any signings in January.
