This trajectory essentially always ends with Wright getting first-team appearances before the season is out. Especially with the EFL Cup and the FA Cup on the go. Ekitiké's injury only creates more opportunities, too, and we fully expect Wright will debut this season. And maybe sooner than anyone thinks. He's on fire right now and while Wright only made the step up to Under 21 level permanently this season, there's little reason not to let him step up again while the momentum is there. He'll ultimately replace Isak, if all goes to plan. But there's no reason why he can't play alongside him for now.
