Mancini contract among 115 Manchester City charges in financial scandal New Italy coach Roberto Mancini is embroiled in the Manchester City scandal, as alleged off-book payments to him are among the 115 possible breaches of Premier League financial rules. According to multiple sources including The Athletic and BBC Sport , the four-year investigation has concluded with Manchester City found guilty on almost all the 115 charges. Among them was the suggestion that during his tenure at the club from 2009 to 2013, Mancini had two different contracts that allowed the club to get around Financial Fair Play parameters. The consultancy was worth €2.03m net , for what was seemingly only four days of work per year. Mancini won the Premier League title for them in 2012, following on from the 2011 FA Cup. The sheer scale of the financial breaches, if indeed found guilty of almost all the 115 charges, could require far more than a simple fine for Manchester City. It also remains to be seen if the club will be stripped of any of the titles that they won during the time of the allegations. (Photo by Carl Recine/Getty Images) Manchester City are facing 54 charges of failure to provide accurate financial information from 2009 to 2018, 14 of failure to provide accurate details for player and management payments, five charges of failure to comply with UEFA’s Financial Fair Play rules from 2013 to 2018, seven of breaching Premier League profit and sustainability rules from 2015 to 2018, and 35 of failure to co-operate with Premier League investigations from December 2018 to February 2023. Manchester City have always denied wrongdoing and are expected to appeal if the guilty verdicts are confirmed.
