Morton’s Impressive Form In Ligue 1 This Season Morton has enjoyed a good run of form at the French club in this campaign so far as he has been responsible for putting in a few impressive displays for them at the centre of the park. The 23-year-old has scored one goal in ten appearances for Lyon this season across all fronts. The English talent is currently among the most talented central midfielders in Ligue 1 . Hence, it is no wonder that the Black Cats are hoping to bring him back to the Premier League next year. Morton’s current contract at the French club will run out in the summer of 2030, so Sunderland would have to make a convincing offer if they want to win the race for his services. Morton loves a tackle and can scan the danger well to make some crucial interceptions for his team in the middle of the park.
