However, according to Diario AS , Ramon is not currently thinking about a return to Real Madrid, even though he remains a Madridista at heart. It appears Ramon is only keen on playing for a club which can guarantee him regular game time so he can continue to progress as a centre-back. With 43 competitive appearances in just over one year, game time certainly hasn’t been a problem for Ramon at Como, whereas at Real Madrid, he may fall behind in the pecking order or simply fail to establish himself, as evident in the case of Fran Garcia . The report mentions Chelsea and Arsenal as two clubs who have shown the most concrete interest so far. Real Madrid, to that end, must be mindful of the interest from other clubs, though the club have the upper hand due to three staggered buy-back clauses in the agreement. Real Madrid had the option to activate the first one in the summer of 2026, worth only €8 million. They will continue to have that option in 2027 and 2028, though the fee will increase marginally. This buyout clause ensures Real Madrid will always have the upper hand against Premier League rivals, as far as the future of Ramon is concerned.
