Currently plying his trade for Al Nassr, Felix is a shadow of his former club and is no longer Portugal’s golden boy. But he still reminisces the time he sent playing at some of the top clubs across Europe, including Barcelona. In a recent interaction, the former Chelsea forward has heaped praise on Barcelona while also talking about Lamine Yamal. It’s true that in the end we weren’t able to win any titles, but just playing for Barcelona gave me immense happiness,” he said (h/t Diario AS ). He also acknowledged the difference between a temporary and a permanent stay, admitting a loan spell rarely tells the full story. “It’s clear that playing on loan is different from being tied to a permanent contract with the club; the situation is completely different when you’re actually a player in the club’s ranks. “In one year, many things can happen; the period might be excellent or extremely bad, and you might go through moments of brilliance or decline,” he explained. Despite failing to nail down a long-term future at Camp Nou, Felix cherished the experience of fulfilling a childhood dream. “But I’m so happy that I wore the Barcelona shirt; it was a dream that’s haunted me since childhood, just as it has my father and brother. (Photo by David Ramos/Getty Images) Felix, who admitted he still follows Barcelona closely, reserved special praise for Lamine Yamal, whose performances he clearly relishes watching. “Teams like Barcelona, Real Madrid, and Atletico are among those people love to watch, but naturally, I watch Barcelona more,” Felix said. “I follow Barcelona, and of course I watch them a lot for Lamine; I adore his playing style, his way of approaching matches, and how he brings us joy. “Watching him in itself brings pleasure, and makes you, sitting at home on the couch, feel the same level of enjoyment that he and the Barcelona team feel.” Felix is the latest in a long list of footballing personalities , who have heaped praise on Yamal ahead of the Ballon d’Or ceremony next month.
