Como’s Jacobo Ramon on Real Madrid return: “I’m not thinking about anything else” Serie A side Como have seen defender Jacobo Ramon thrive for the last season or so, as they roped him in from Real Madrid in the summer of 2025. He has only grown in stature since then, and attention around him is likely to grow. The Spaniard spoke to La Gazzetta dello Sport in a rather detailed interview today. He was asked a host of questions about his career and life. When asked about a possible return to Real Madrid in the future, the centre-back said: “I’ll just say one thing, which is an absolute certainty: I’m doing great at Como. We’ve just started the season, and I’m not thinking about anything else. We need to have a great season, nothing more.” While focused on the future, Ramon also offered insight into how Como and living in Italy has changed him. “It’s changed my mentality. I’ve always lived here in Madrid at home with my parents, so I had to step out of my comfort zone, and it’s been good for me. I’ve matured and changed some things about my routine. I feel great.”  He also addressed whether Cesc Fabregas and his system is a disruptive force in Calcio. The defender responded: “I wouldn’t say so. It’s clear that you can’t please everyone, that’s life. Cesc loves Italy very much and admires Italian football. What he’s trying to do is promote the Serie A movement, to play a more eye-catching, beautiful game.” “By doing different things, he’s trying to open up Italian football so as many people as possible can watch it. Roma-Inter was a magnificent match, that’s the path forward.”  Ramon also admitted he has grown very quickly and even he didn’t expect that. “Fabregas had called me, showing great confidence in me, but honestly, I didn’t expect to play so much so quickly. I’ve improved and grown a lot.” This is likely to be a huge season for the 21-year-old, who has also attracted interest from the Premier League.
