In a recent report , journalist Alan Nixon claimed that Sunderland winger Timur Tuterov is gathering interest from the EFL Championship. It has been mentioned that Blackburn Rovers are showing interest in recruiting the Ukrainian wide player from the Black Cats next year. Tuterov’s Impressive Rise In English Football Tuterov has come through the youth ranks of Sunderland and has done well to break into their senior team recently. The 21-year-old has made one senior appearance for the Black Cats so far but is still waiting to score his first senior goal for the club. The Ukrainian sensation is currently one of the most gifted young wide players in English football. Thus, it is no wonder that Blackburn Rovers have set their sights on him next year. His current contract at the Wearside club will run out in the summer of 2028, so Sunderland have no choice but to cash in on him on the cheap next year if they fail to tie him down to a new, long-term contract. Tuterov is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet and can make some driving runs with it out in the wide areas. He has the vision to engineer some inviting chances for his teammates in the final third and can shoot the ball with venom from long range. The Ukrainian talent is primarily a left-winger but can also operate as a right-sided wide player or as a centre-forward if told to do so by his manager. However, he is currently not a regular starter at the Stadium of Light and would need time to prove his worth in the Premier League . At the moment, Tuterov is on the fringes of Regis Le Bris’ squad. Hence, the Black Cats would be wise to cut him loose if they receive a favourable offer for his services next year. At 21, the future looks quite promising for Tuterov as long as he continues to improve with each season. Therefore, the Wearside club should consider cashing in on him this January or at the end of this season. Le Bris would be better off using the money generated from his potential sale to bring in a suitable replacement in 2027.
