Liverpool are in the business of finding the best young talent in the country right now. That's their big game plan for the academy now that foreign youngsters are off the table to a large extent. Of course, they're still doing their best to find those in the latter category. Jeremy Jacquet and Giovanni Leoni are two such examples who have gone straight into the first-team squad in the last two years. But Liverpool hope to expand their squad with academy players going forward and that's seen the likes of Rio Ngumoha and Trey Nyoni promoted into the senior side. Now eyes turn to the next batch who are ready to step forward over the coming years - and one incredibly gifted talent look certain to do so. Luca Eden wants Liverpool One problem with focusing on UK talent is the demand is outrageously high. Ngumoha and Nyoni, for instance, were both taken from other top academies. Liverpool have just lost one of their brightest, too, with Isaac Konde signing for Manchester United. They've had to see off competition for Josh Abe, as well. Abe was heavily linked with a move away in the summer but did eventually re-sign with Liverpool and is destined to breakthrough imminently. It's a stress that the Reds shouldn't have with one talent, though. Luca Eden is one of the most exciting prospects at Liverpool right now and has made it into the UEFA Youth League side at just 15. That made him the youngest player to represent the Reds in the competition. The fact he also didn't look out of place and was one of the better players is just a sign of how big a talent Eden truly is. We've talked him up for a while now and there's no question that eyes should be on him across the coming seasons. Especially as Eden is one of the few who really isn't interested in moving elsewhere. This is something pointed out by former Liverpool scout Geoff Peters in an interview with the Athletic . “Some boys go out and try a number of different clubs, but Luca has always stayed at Liverpool," said Peters. "His family didn’t want him to be coached differently. “A lot of clubs have been after him over the years, but he’s always remained loyal. He’s been very consistent going through the academy. He’s never been a problem." It's the dream, really. A high-potential academy prospect found within the catchment area and
