McTominay back in training with Napoli after heart surgery Scott McTominay is a step closer to full recovery following heart surgery, as Napoli confirmed he resumed training on the pitch today with his teammates. The Scotland international had the operation on September 8 to correct a mild benign heart arrhythmia, which was identified thanks to the use of wearable tech during both matches and training sessions. It required a minor operation and some complete rest, but he is gradually returning to the playing field.
