Official | Toulouse defender Mark McKenzie to join MLS side Philadelphia Union next January Toulouse FC have confirmed that their player Mark McKenzie (27) will leave the Occitan club on 1st January. Six years after arriving in Europe, where he made his debut for KRC Genk, the American defender is set to return to his former club, Philadelphia Union, with whom he has agreed a deal running until 2030, with an option for a further season. Having been thrown in at the deep end at the age of 19, he made 59 appearances for the club. Having joined Toulouse in 2024, McKenzie gradually established himself as a key part of Les Violets ’ defence. Having made 72 appearances in all competitions (one goal, three assists), the New York City native has started each of the first five Ligue 1 matchdays since the start of the 2026-27 season. A US international with 30 caps, McKenzie was part of Mauricio Pochettino’s squad for the World Cup, making one start against Turkey (2-3). GFFN | Léo Aschi
