Ousmane Dembele is on duty with France, and he’s done a really interesting interview with L’Equipe about how it compares to playing with PSG. “Yes, very much so,” Dembele replied when asked if there were similarities between playing for PSG and playing for France. “The coach gives us a lot of freedom, especially us forwards; there’s a philosophy that’s somewhat similar to PSG’s. We try to enjoy ourselves, the coach wants the team to play, there are many similarities with PSG. He’s played out wide and up front for PSG, and now the injury to Kylian Mbappe is meaning he’s got the chance to play more centrally for his country too: “It’s a position I play all season. In these two matches, the coach gave me a lot of freedom. What I also like is dropping deep. There’s a bit of Luis Enrique in me, and a little bit of Zidane too. Around me at PSG and with the French national team, I have a lot of quality players. I know I have to score and make passes. I’m happy in this team.” France play Italy tomorrow night. In other news… We’ve not seen much of Mika Godts yet, but he’s been speaking about his adaptation to life at PSG. Christopher Galtier has made it clear who he thinks should win the Ballon d’Or… sort of.
