Napoli’s McTominay at risk of forfeiting Roma match

Napoli’s McTominay at risk of forfeiting Roma match After the long international break, Gian Piero Gasperini’s Roma will face a series of challenging and close-quarters fixtures that will test the fitness of the Roman squad. First, the away match at the Sinigaglia stadium against Como on October 11th at 12:30 p.m., then the big Champions League match at the Olimpico against José Mourinho’s Real Madrid. The Giallorossi’s schedule will then feature matches against Genoa, Slovan Bratislava, and Napoli. Five matches in less than two weeks that will reveal a lot about the condition of Gasperini’s team. The last of these five matches, against Napoli, could see one of the most anticipated players sidelined once again. According to Il Mattino , Scott McTominay will also be unavailable for the Azzurri’s next three matches against Frosinone, Villarreal, and Venezia. His participation in the match at the Maradona stadium, scheduled for Saturday, October 24th at 6:00 PM, remains highly doubtful. The former Manchester United midfielder is taking anticoagulants to treat the mild, benign cardiac arrhythmia he was diagnosed with a few weeks ago. The Scotsman will be kept away from the pitch for as long as he continues to use these medications and may also be forced to miss the match against the Giallorossi.
