USMNT vs Mexico predicted lineups: How will Pochettino, Marquez line up the CONCACAF giants?

Mauricio Pochettino and Rafa Marquez could go in many directions when it comes to their teams for a high-profile friendly between the USMNT and Mexico on Saturday, making the task of predicted lineups quite a challenge. Pochettino made 10 changes to his starting lineup between the wins over Peru and Chile, while Marquez was even more judicious with his Starting XI places across two games, starting 22 different players. MORE — How to watch the game | Pochettino in focus Yet all signs points to both teams going with their best available and most-experienced teams when the rivals clash on U.S. soil. Pochettino doesn't want to risk a step back in a home game against El Tri , while Marquez surely wants a statement win (and in Arizon, it may well be a home crowd). While Mexico is without Edson Alvarez, Cesar Montes, Julian Araujo, and Raul Jimenez amongst others, the USMNT is operating without Christian Pulisic, Weston McKennie, Folarin Balogun, and Timothy Weah. MORE — Last time out | USMNT schedule, results We'll likely see Mexico phenom Gilberto Mora in El Tri's lineup, but will we see now 17-year-old Cavan Sullivan starting for the U.S.? How many teenagers will hit the pitch for Pochettino? And who will be in goal? Mexico predicted lineup at USMNT The main questions we have regarding Marquez's choices are at the front and the back. He used Raul Rangel and Oscar Garcia between the posts for the first two contests. Rangel would be the experienced play, but perhaps Athletic Bilbao's Alex Padilla will get a first cap here? There's depth in the midfield and Marquez used Gilberto Mora and Roberto Alvarado instead of choosing one for their last outing. We're guessing the same here, but who will start at left wing? Hirving Lozano could get another chance despite an inconsistent record against the Yanks. — Alex Padilla — — Jorge Sanchez — Israel Reyes — Johan Vasquez — Jesus Gallardo — — Erik Lira — Denzell Garcia — — Gilberto Mora — — Roberto Alvarado — Santiago Gimenez — Hirving Lozano — USMNT predicted lineup vs Mexico Goalkeeper is also an interesting question for Pochettino, who has used all four of his keepers for a half each over two games. We're guessing it'll be a chance for a new face on a bigger stage, whether that's World Cup third keeper Chris Brady or young Barcelona property Diego Kochen (We'd expect it's the 25-year-old). We'll also guess that Pochettino goes for passion over perfection when it comes to fitting his midfield, trusting that Tyler Adams will cover any gaps opened up by Berhalter's still-developing defensive acumen. The boss has done it with Weston McKennie and others, but Yunus Musah could also be an experienced fit. Will Reyna make it three-straight starts, the only American to do that this break? We guess yes, though if he were to sit it would open the door to Musah or one of the kids (Sullivan, Cole Campbell, or Mathis Albert)? And choosing between Julian Hall and Justin Ellis is no easy decision up top. — Chris Brady — — Alex Freeman — Auston Trusty — Chris Richards — Antonee Robinson — — Tyler Adams — Sebastian Berhalter— — Sergino Dest — Malik Tillman — Giovanni Reyna — — Julian Hall —
